Binational Alliance,
The Binational Texas-Tamaulipas
Economic Alliance came to life on October 5, 2006 in
Kingsville, Texas. The Cities of Kingsville and Reynosa
were the founding entities through their respective
representatives, Reynosa Mayor, Francisco Cabeza De Vaca,
Kingsville Mayor, Sam R. Fugate, and Kingsville City
Manager, Carlos Yerena. The Binational Alliance is
governed by an 8 member board of directors, 4 directors
from the State of Tamaulipas and 4 directors from the
State of Texas. As the Executive Director of this
strategic alliance between two states and two nations, I
truly believe that the underlying concept of this
Binational Alliance is the development and
implementation of a strategy that leads to sustainable
development and improves the quality of life for the
people of both nations. In essence, this Binational
Alliance brings together:
“two states, two
nations, with one future; a shared vision of
international cooperation and sustainable development”.
